Denmark leads in environmental patents
A recent report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) shows, that during the last 25 years Denmark is the western country with the highest growing amount of patents on renewable energy - compared to country size.

The IEA report is yet another proof of the Danish leading position when it comes to environmental research and technology. Denmark’s lead in patents on renewable energy is mainly due to the traditional focus on wind energy and wind technology. But research in biomass, fuel cells and recycling is also contributing to the leading Danish position on environmental patents.
