The Spanish Network of University Knowledge Transfer Offices, RedOTRI, has celebrated its 10th anniversary (1997-2007). The XV Research Seminar of the Spanish Universities was attended by KTOs´ Directors and managers, an event where Rogelio Conde Pumpido, the ex-Director of the KTO of Universidad de Santiago de Compostela and the current General Director of the Research Policy of the University System in Galicia, reflected upon the evolution of the Spanish KTOs during the last years and their current standing. This clearly described the challenges that they should face in the near future.

During the official dinner of the event, Francisco Tomás Vert, President of the R&D Sectorial Committee, gave the current RedOTRI Coordinator, Ana Cortés Herreros, a commemorative sculpture, under the theme “Making path trough an Entrepreneurial University”, demonstrating appreciation for the Spanish KTOs´ work since their creation in 1989. Previous RedOTRI coordinators were also present during the event: Jose Luis Virumbrales, Fernando de la Puente, Rogelio Conde-Pumpido, Jordi Rojas, Fernando Conesa y Santiago Romo.
