ProTon Membership Benefits

The benefits of ProTon Europe membership are many and varied but all are targeted at improving the performance and professionalism of Knowledge Transfer Offices across Europe

Good Practice As a result of the activities of the Working Groups ProTon Europe has been able to develop a catalogue containing over 140 good practices, of which 62 have been fully validated.

Staff Exchange Programme To further enhance the professional development of staff working in technology transfer offices ProTon Europe has developed a staff exchange programme.This activity is only available to Full Members.

Professional Development & Training ProTon Europe organises regular training schools focusing particularly on development of new knowledge transfer offices.

Annual Conference the activities and progress of ProTon Europe are presented at an annual meeting. The meeting is also open to contributions from external experts and speakers.

ProTon Europe Survey As part of its benchmarking and observatory activities ProTon Europe annually surveys its members, as a new member the completion of this survey is one of the preconditions of your membership.

There are 2 classes of membership available to knowledge transfer organisations

Full Membership is open exclusively to organisations involved in the transfer of knowledge from PROs including intellectual property management, licensing, partnering with industry and the creation of new companies. Full members must be a Member State or an Associated State of European Union. For 2009 the annual fee for full members is 600€. (n.b. For those full members that are also members of ProTon Europe partner association the annual fee for 2009 is 300€)

Associate Membership is open to non-European TOs and to organisations that provide significant assistance to TOs in their tasks, but do not fulfil the criteria for Full Membership. For 2009 the annual fee for associate members is 900€

Full and Associate Members may register several employees and collaborators as delegates. Each Member must have one official delegate acting as main contact person.
