Sample Programme
Programmes are tailored to suit the needs and wishes of individuals, where possible.
Objective
The objective of visits is to help participants in reviewing and revising their promoting knowledge transfer procedures towards the good practice as performed in Forschungszentrum and –beginning in 2008 – in KIT. The objective will be achieved through participant observation in senior meetings at Forschungszentrum; working alongside with the Intellectual Property Officers, the License Officers and a Marketing Officer in senior level discussions. During the visit meetings with other Helmholtz research centres engaged in Technology Transfer will be facilitated.
Timetable
The visit begins with an introduction to special research topics (chosen according to the wishes of the visitors), where patent applications and patents exist. At least one patent application or patent will be discussed and compared with the chosen research topic and the state of the art in this field. A discussion about industry branches which may be interested in this topic and a strategy of how to establish a contact and possibly a license agreement will follow.
There will be the opportunity to discuss with senior staff about their experience in the various fields of know-how transfer.
